Accessibility Statement
Last updated: June 2025
Our commitment
Mad Pixie Makeup is committed to making our website accessible to as many people as possible, including those with disabilities. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA where possible.
What we have done
We have taken the following steps to improve accessibility on this website:
• All images include descriptive alt text
• The site can be navigated using a keyboard alone
• Colour contrast ratios meet WCAG AA standards throughout
• Font sizes are relative and scale with browser/user preferences
• Page language is declared (lang="en-GB") to assist screen readers
• All form inputs have associated labels
• Focus states are visible for keyboard navigation
• Headings are used in a logical hierarchy (H1 → H2 → H3)
• The site is fully responsive and usable on mobile devices
• Structured data (JSON-LD) is used to help assistive technologies understand page content
Known limitations
We are aware of the following limitations and are working to address them:
• Some video content does not currently include captions — we aim to add these in future updates
• Some PDF documents linked from the site may not be fully accessible — please contact us if you need an accessible alternative
• The portfolio lightbox may have limited screen reader support — we plan to improve this
