From runway to real life
Her career began not in Yorkshire but in the hushed backstage corridors of Milan Fashion Week — applying the final touches before models stepped onto runways that would appear in every major fashion publication in the world. It was there she learned that makeup isn't decoration. It's transformation.
New York followed — film and commercial sets where the brief could change in seconds, where continuity under pressure was the job, where working alongside directors and DPs trained her eye in ways no classroom ever could.
Then Paris — couture shows, editorial campaigns, the kind of work where a single brush stroke is studied in print. London added television and broadcast: the peculiar science of making a face read perfectly under unforgiving studio lights.
Today, she's based in Strensall, just north of York. Every client who sits in her chair benefits from all of it — that international fluency, that trained eye, that 20-year depth of experience.
